Hi, my name is Michael Antabian and this is my Portfolio website
I am a passionate Computer Engineering senior student at CSU Northridge with a keen interest in embedded engineering, digital logic design, and computer architecture.

I am seeking opportunities to expand my expertise in VHDL, SystemVerilog and C/C++ coding, while also delving into embedded systems and System-on-Chip (SoC) development. Focused on pursuing a career in FPGA/ASIC design and embedded engineering.

I am eager to make a meaningful impact through creative problem-solving and collaboration with like-minded professionals.

Projects

Digital Design Projects

Digital circuit design using PSPICE, Logisim, and other tools

This section highlights my work in digital logic design, including projects such as a 32-bit MIPS-based processor using Logisim, the full NAND2Tetris course, and smaller logic devices like voltage-controlled oscillators and 8-bit ROMs designed in PSPICE. These projects reflect my skills in creating and simulating digital circuits.

Ongoing Work

Here is what I am currently working on, or plan on working on some time soon

At the moment:

  • I am reading the book getting started with fpgas by Russell Merrick. This book focuses on hdl code and fpga basics that will help me solidify my foundation with hardware design. I am using the kria kr260 board for this with the Xilinx Vivado Suite.
  • I am also reading the Stuart Sutherland book on RTL Modeling with SystemVerilog for Simulation and Synthesis: Using SystemVerilog for ASIC and FPGA Design. My goal is to learn how to properly simulate and synthesize systemVerilog code with proper coding practices.
  • A current project I am working on is a fuzzy logic traffic light control system using vhdl and the kria kr260 board to simulate on real hardware. This is my Senior year project.

In the near future:

  • I plan on reading the book on SystemVerilog for Verification: A Guide to Learning the Testbench Language Features by Chris Spear.
  • I will read the book called FPGA Prototyping by SystemVerilog Examples by Pong P Chu to further improve my skills with fpgas and SystemVerilog

Interests

Apart from being a student and employee, I enjoy lifting weights, reading books, learning new languages, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

When forced indoors, I like to spend time gaming, watching movies and sports, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technolgy advancements in the hardware world.
